How to copy files from ConQuest to Access Workspace?

Written by Rares Iacob

This article gives an overview of how to use ConQuest files when hosted within Access Workspace.

It's not usually necessary to upload files to Access Hosting before using them in ConQuest. You can select files directly from your computer or company network.

Available drives when selecting files

When file picker is open in ConQuest, it shows the available drives and files:

Note: This screenshot refers to the server running ConQuest within Access Hosting. It's not your local computer or laptop.

The network is your local organisation's network and within here you see Client\ which is your local computer or laptop. You may also see additional network drives depending on how your company network is configured.

Storing files within Access Hosting

When working with ConQuest in MyDesk you can store files within Access Hosting. This isn't normally necessary for the files to be used with ConQuest but it can be a convenient place to keep them when working with ConQuest.

My Documents

Within Access Hosting, there are two recommended locations for you to put files. The first of these is My Documents.

As the name suggests, this is a location for you to store your files within Access Hosting. No other users are able to use these files, so this location should be used for files that you don't want anyone else to view or use.

It can be found here:

Project Documentation

Project Documentation is the other recommended location for you to place files. Other users can use this location who have access to Access ConQuest for your organisation. It should be used for any estimating files which are to be shared and worked on by multiple people.

It can be found here:

Note: In the above example TST997_CONQ01 is the name of the ConQuest Server. This is slightly different for you and you may have multiple extra folders.
