This is a major update to the original version of the File Manager App.
In the original version, we focused on uploading files to Access Hosting. This version extends the app's capabilities and enables you to organise and manage files. This includes using folders, downloading files, and deleting items.
We've also refreshed the design to give it a clean modern appearance, which is simple for you to use.
Folders
Folders are now visible within the File Manager app. You can open these to see their contents, and you can upload files directly into different folders:
To add further folders to help organise files, click Add Folder.
To help you see where you are in the folder hierarchy, a breadcrumb trail displays. You can jump to different folders by clicking the folder name in the breadcrumb:
Uploading folders
A select a folder option is now available when you're uploading to Access Hosting:
Using this, you can select folders and upload them:
When you upload a folder, you upload all of the files and folders within that folder, with the same folder structure:
Download
To download files, select the required folders, then click Download:
They download into the normal web browser download location.
Delete
You can now delete files and folders using the App:
Note: This is a permanent delete and there will be no opportunity for you to recover the files.
When you're deleting folders, you must first delete all files within the folder, or you can't delete the folder. This reduces the risk of you accidentally deleting valuable files.
