Licence key is not the original

ConQuest displays 'Licence key is not the original' popup and closes

Written by Sunil

This usually occurs when ConQuest can 'see' two licence keys and tries to swap between them.

If you have a local licence key (tied to your machine) so that you can use ConQuest both in and out of the office, and there is also a network licence, you may experience this when in the office. To prevent this:

  • Go to Configuration

  • Click the Access to Remote Licence Managers tab

  • Untick all three boxes and remove anything entered in the Parameters

  • If this does not work, block port 1947 both incoming and outgoing on your firewall (this may be managed by your IT)

  • In the services control panel, restart the Sentinel LDK Licence Manager

If you are still having issues, please continue with a support member.

If you have two network licences visible, for example because you have two departments on the same network but who have their own pools of licences, this will need to managed using the access control lists on the two network licence servers. Your IT may well know how to do this, but if not, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.

Please include contact details for your IT so that ConQuest Support can show them how to do this. If your IT are external, please let them know to expect us to contact them.
