Deleting Softkeys that are no longer requried

Local softkey was installed but has now expired and is no longer needed, causing a conflict with the network licence.

Deleting a Softkey (Network)

The HASP management console provides no way to delete softkeys, they will also show as present on the console. You can manually do this in cases when a softkey needs deleting from the machine (expired, corrupt or needing replacement)

  1. On the computer hosting the softkey start services (Start > search 'services.msc', alternatively Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services)

  2. Find the 'Sentinel LDK License Manager' service and stop it

  3. Browse to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel LDK\installed\88850'

  4. Here you will see any files that make up softkeys. There will be one for the base softkey and additional ones for any updates the softkey has had. Each one will contain the softkey licence number.

  5. Find all files that relate to the key number you want to delete and delete them

  6. Back in the services window restart the 'Sentinel LDK License Manager'

  7. Browse to http://localhost:1947 and the softkey should no longer be visible

Deleting a Softkey (Local)

If you try to install a softkey before you install the HASP licence drivers your will end up installing a local key that cannot be seen by ConQuest. This is installed into a different location and must be deleted before you can install a new, network one.

  1. Find the 'Sentinel LDK License Manager' service and stop it

  2. Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel LDK\installed\88850' and check for folder in C:\ProgramData\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel LDK\installed\88850'

  3. Here you will see any files that make up softkeys. There will be one for the base softkey and additional ones for any updates the softkey has had. Each one will contain the softkey licence number.

  4. Find all files that relate to the key number you want to delete and delete them

  5. Back in the services window restart the 'Sentinel LDK License Manager'

  6. Browse to http://localhost:1947 and the softkey should no longer be visible
