If a report fails to generate or print in ConQuest, the cause is usually a missing default printer setting or a permissions issue with the temp folder. This article explains how to diagnose and fix the most common report errors.
Print error: 4104
Print error: 4104 appears when no default Windows printer is set, or when ConQuest cannot access the temp folder. Check both causes below.
Check your default printer
Close ConQuest.
Go to Windows, then Printers and scanners.
Confirm a default printer is set.
Reopen ConQuest and retry the report.
đNote: If you are running ConQuest on a remote server, the server session's default printer setting applies â not your local machine. Contact your IT team if you need help confirming which printer is set for the server session.
Check the temp folder
Open Options, then Folders, then Temp Folder.
Confirm the path shown is a valid location.
Confirm the folder permissions are set to read, write and modify.
Retry the report.
