Note: This is NOT a recommended way of importing files, but it is a way to recover (partially) when the database has failed and there is no database backup, only the file share.
It will give ONLY the Estimate: The files do not contain the Comparisons data or the Project Register information.
You can also do this with files extracted from a backup to restore the estimate to an earlier state after having suffered a problem or made a mistake.
If you have Version 7 projects to import, please continue with a support member.
If you are working with an install of ConQuest which already has projects in it, and these projects are not already in the Projects folder, you will need to keep a note of the numbers of the projects you are wishing to add, and to make sure that these do not duplicate any projects already in ConQuest.
If you do have duplicates, please continue with a support member Changing the code of a project is not as simple as renaming the folder, and it's probably best if ConQuest Support assist with this.
Assuming that the projects are not already in the install's Projects folder location, they will need to be copied to that location.
Once they have been copied in, in the Project Register, click New and add a project with the same code as the project you wish to add.
The system will inform you that the files exist and ask if you want to use them, which you do. Rather than adding a new, blank project, it will then create a project using the stored Estimate files, but with no Comparisons or Project Register details.
