The most common causes of issues with zipping ConQuest projects are that the project itself has corruption or that there are issues with the network and/or database performance, especially when working across a VPN.
The first thing to eliminate is project corruption:
From the Tools menu select Check Job.
Preview the report.
If this says errors have been fixed before displaying, close the report and try running it again. It should not error twice. Try zipping your project again.
If it does not say errors have been fixed, there is unlikely to be corruption, or any corruption present cannot be fixed by this tool.
If that has not helped, then the issue could be network or database performance issues. First, ensure that ConQuest is not working harder than it needs to:
Under Options scroll to the bottom of the first pane
Check the Project Totals options. If this is set to 'Update every time a change is made' set it to 'Update only on a refresh' or if you don't look at this, to 'Disabled and Hidden'
Try to zip the project again
If you are using a VPN, come out of the project and if you do not have a Remote Desktop type solution, get another user to try zipping the project. The issue could be your connection to the office. This is one of the reasons we do not recommend trying to use ConQuest across a VPN.
If you still can't zip the project, please continue with a support member for further assistance. ConQuest support will need to investigate the issue, and will probably need the assistance of your IT department.
