Rereferencing a whole project not just a page.

In ConQuest Estimating you can use the rereference button to amend the references page by page, bill by bill. Can this be done for the whole project at once.

There is a function that will allow you to re-paginate the whole Project that is run as part of the Print Job report.

  1. Open Reports, Estimating, Print Bill

  2. Tick Generate References to amend the Print Bill Only (do this first to check it will complete the function you are expecting)

  3. Tick Generate References and Update References (to send the changes back into the Estimating window)

Generate References

Will generate a new set of item references for your job based on the number of items that can fit on each page in the current print format. This is particularly useful when you have been inserting, duplicating, and deleting lots of bill items or where take off references have been used.

Update References

Will change the references in the job file to match the paper document as referenced using the generate references option. You should take care when using this option. If you selected, for example, dims on the print, you are likely to fit only one or two items on a page. Indeed, one item could be spread over ten pages. A good idea is to use the update option on the priced bill of quantity format first (first six columns only) unless, of course, you intend to always print the job with dims or item build up, etc.
