How to filter projects

Showing only live projects List only my projects

Written by Andrei Ene

As well as the search function at the top left, which searches across the entire project register, there are filters on each individual column. These are found in the blank line directly below the column headers. You can filter on any visible column, but here we will use the example of filtering out projects which are not marked Live.

  1. Click in the blank box directly below the Live column header. This will give a drop-down of possible values.

  2. Untick the Blanks box.

  3. Only projects which have a tick in Live will now be shown.

Columns in which the contents are not restricted to set values, such as the Project Title or Code, will not give a drop-down, but will allow you to enter text. As the text is entered, projects which do not contain that text will be removed from the list.

Multiple filters can be used at once.

To clear all filters, click the crossed-out funnel icon at the top left of the project register. To clear an individual filter, hover over the relevant filter box and its crossed-out funnel icon will appear at the right hand end of the box.

If the column you wish to filter on is not shown on the project register, click the Field Chooser, which is at the top left of the project register, on the same line as the column headers, just above the crossed-out funnel icon. In here, you can select and deselect any columns you wish to be shown or not shown. Columns can be re-ordered by dragging.
