Projects Register is not displaying any projects

Following a new installation, the Projects Register is showing no Projects available. Why can I no longer see my Projects list?

Tip: If this is not a new installation check a Filter has not been applied to the Search or Menu headers within the Project Register window.

If this is on a new installation it will be a configuration issue:

New replacement Local install:

  1. If the old machine is a local install the data will need to be copied over to the newly installed application

    1. Install ConQuest on the new machine

    2. Once installed and updated, copy the following folders from the old install (usually C:\ConQuest Q Series)

      1. Configuration, Libraries, Online Enquiry Templates, Projects, Shared Database, Stored Items

      2. Do not need to copy all folder or all files (this will break the install)

    3. Overwrite the same folders in the new application folder (Usually C:\ConQuest Q Series)

  2. When launching ConQuest all data should be visible as per the old machine

  3. If the Project register is still empty check the Shared Database folder has copied over correctly.

New User Install for Network setup:

  1. Open the installation and if the Project register is empty locate Options, Folders and check they are not all on C:\ (Temp, Mailshot and Snapshot usually are, this is OK) If it is set to run from C:\ you can copy the default config from the server (should be in a Setup folder on the Conquest share) if this is not available, copy a working users configuration to mirror the setup.

  2. If copying another users setup, in Configuration, Snapshotsettings.ini, right click and edit the Snapshot file to the new users name.

  3. If folders show everything is on the server go to Options, Database and ensure SQLCE is not selected, a network install should have SQLServer selected,
