The Print Bill routine has a lot of options. In this case we're looking at two things: How to include the buildups below the item and how to print only specific items.
Go to Reports
Select Estimating
Click Print Bill.
This will first give a popup advising of the current Price Type and asking if you wish to change it. This will match what you have set in Estimating, so in most cases you will just click OK.
To include the buildups, look at the Detail section, the bottom half of the third column of options. Click Item Buildup.
If you wish to select which information to include, you can click the Setup button to the right of the checkbox.
To choose specific items, you will need to use either Search or Item Range on the right-hand column to select the items you wish.
If using Search, you have all the same options you would have for any search within the Estimate. In the majority of cases, when doing this for reporting purposes, your best option is to choose a Flag which is not being used for anything else and apply it to the items you wish to see, before doing the report. You can remove this later.
If using Item Range you will be able to choose the Start Item and End Item - unlike in many other places within ConQuest, these can be in different bills. You will need to know the Bill (and sub-bill if relevant) Page number and Reference for both of these.
Once you have selected the items you want to see, click OK
Clicking OK once more will give you a preview of the report to check.
As with any report, you can then click the Printer Icon to send this to your default printer, or Close the preview and choose to send this to a Text File instead. It is worth noting that the main use of sending reports to a text file is to be able to load it into Excel, and if you want this information in excel the View In Excel button on the View screen is more appropriate.
If you wish to have a file rather than a physical printout, you can click Printer and choose from those installed on your system. In most cases, there will be a Print to PDF option.
