Showing Own Rates in Comparisons

How to use own pricing in Comparisons

Written by Denisa Badarau

If you wish to see your own prices within the Comparisons module, you need the Own Rate feature. To turn this on for a particular trade you are in:

  1. Click Names on the Trades menu.

  2. Click Own Rate

  3. Close this window

This will give you your own rates in the Comparison. If you want only some aspects, ie, only LPM, you can click Own Rate under the Comparisons Options menu to adjust this.

To turn off the Own Rate column, go back into Names and click the Own Rate button again.

To determine what resource data is shown in the Own Rate column, you can select/deselect the resource types within the Options, Own Rate function in Comparisons.

If using Composite Items (multiple buildups), you can set the Own Rate column to display the totals for the First Buildup containing the resource or the Whole Item.

To change this:

  1. Go to the Options at the top of your Comparison (as opposed to the main application options)

  2. Select Own Rate Composite Items,

  3. Select First Buildup or Whole Item.

Note: Please be aware that, as the Own Rate information has to be read from the Estimating module, the load times for a Comparison with Own Rate turned on can be noticeably slower than without it.
