Comparisons - Copy and paste rates from Excel

Can I copy and paste rates in from Excel files into the Comparisons module? I'm unable to copy and paste Rates from an Excel sheet extracted from ConQuest, into the Comparisons.

If you want to copy and paste rates from Excel into the Comparisons module, you will need to go to:

  1. In the Comparisons module.

  2. Click on the cell from which you want to start the paste function.

  3. Copy from a ConQuest-generated Trade Bill

  4. Highlight and copy the entire Excel sheet

  5. Click on the Rate cell you want to start the paste from

  6. Press F11 (or CTRL+ L) to paste.

To copy from a standard Excel sheet you need to know that single-column paste involves copying a column of numbers and doesn’t have to be the whole column, but it must be a continuous range of cells in the same column. To do that:

  1. Select the start Rate cell in the Comparisons module

  2. Press F11 (or CTRL+ L) to paste.

Note: ConQuest does not run any checks when pasting rates so you will need to check if additional items have been added or removed from the job beforehand. You also need to ensure that the correct rate column has been highlighted before you paste as this will overwrite any existing figures.
