If you are using On-Screen TakeOff and it is also having performance issues, then the issue is most likely with the server.
Either the server is under more load than it can really handle or perhaps simply that the SQL instance which the ConQuest and TakeOff databases needs to be restarted.
Also, if your Project Registry has too many old projects or the databases are too big, this is known to cause performance issues as they are making the software load unnecessary data.
Firstly, check:
Under the Options menu, you will find the Number Options section
On the Project Total section, you will need to set up the option to Update only on a refresh
Then press OK to save the changes you just made and ConQuest will restart
After the restart try to see if the performance improved.
If this is a project-specific issue, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article together with the Project and Library zip.
If it is all projects for all users, you can start by having the IT team check that the Servers are running OK, especially the SQL Server and the File Share. Ensure the File Server is not running out of space or running slowly itself, the same for the SQL server as this will have a knock-on effect on the application.
If the SQL server version is too old or the server itself, then your IT team should consider a replacement.
Please provide your IT team with the latest running requirements for our software.
