Error - 'Failed to create Snapshot' message being received in Estimating

When trying to go in to Estimating a message appears stating: Failed to Create Snapshot

The Snapshot function can be activated through options to set various points in time at which ConQuest will make a snapshot of the project, this is so the version can be restored in the event of a Network related Project corruption.

To activate the Snapshot function:

  1. Click Options, Other Options, Estimating Snapshot Settings

  2. Tick to enable

  3. Select when to take the snapshot (we advise not to use the on a timer option at the moment)

The error occurs either when:

  • 2 people are working on the project at the same time

  • There is a corruption in the project

  • The Snapshot folder setting is pointing to a general folder or someone else's folder. To check this, click Options, Folders, Snapshot Settings
