To get to the on-screen takeoff Display Options: 

1. Click File
2. Click Options
3. Choose the Display tab.

The most common options to change here are the Properties Display check-box, which will determine whether the properties pop-up appears when you mouse over a measure, and the Decimal Places selectors for Measurements and Dimensions, which control the displayed precision.
