This error occurs because something is preventing the automatic update from downloading files. This may be blocking the location or individual file types. Often it occurs because the application is getting a 'forbidden' web page returned in place of the file it was expecting. You may need to look at the log file to determine which file the download stops at.
Firstly, your IT will need to allow access to the following locations through any proxy, firewall or content filter:
• v1.qseries-telemetry.conquestenquiries.com/telemetry Port: 80 & 443
• s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/qupdates/* Port: 80 & 443
• qupdates.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com Port: 80 & 443
• s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/qfiles/* Port: 80 & 443
• qfiles.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com Port: 80 & 443
• updatecheck.conquest.ltd.uk/requests Port: 80 & 443
Being able to access these from a browser does not necessarily guarantee that the update application will be able to, as some systems allow for different applications to be granted different permissions.
If these are all allowed for the update application, then it is most likely that it is a particular file or type of file which is being blocked. If you look at c:\conquest q series\updateclient_log.html immediately after a failure to update, somewhere near the bottom it should specify which file caused the issue. This should enable IT to make appropriate allowances.
Error 503 trying to perform an automatic update
When attempting the update get: HTTP Error 503 The file may be missing, the size does not match the expected size or your server does not permit downloads with this type of extension (you can check this by typing http://server/FileName.xxx)
