Take Off - Error: 'Drawing file is Corrupt' message

When attempting to upload a DWG drawing the following error is received: Drawing File is Corrupt Filename: C:\Users\.................drawing.dwg Do you want to recover the File, Yes/No Pressing Yes leads to a further error: Corrupt Data Found in Drawing

Some of the newer DWG files cannot be loaded into ConQuest.
The current version available of On-Screen TakeOff, which is 5.5, only supports DWG format up to 2010.
There is a newer version available which is 6.0 and it can support DWG format up to 2013.

You can get around this if you have TrueView or a similar application capable of editing DWG files:

  1. Open the file in Trueview

  2. Click the top left Icon and go to DWG Convert Select 2010

  3. Click the Add File (blue button)

  4. Locate the original file (or a copy of the original file)

  5. Press Open

  6. Press Convert.

  7. The converted file can be found in the same location you had the original file and it should now load into Take Off without any error messages.
