SQL and Server Update Email

We have questions over the recent email on SQL updates. Can you confirm the version of SQL to use?

Written by Sunil

There has been some confusion over the latest communication on MS SQL versions, we are sorry for the inconvenience created by this notice.

The notice states that we support MS SQL 2014 and all later versions, although we recommend upgrading to MS SQL 2019, as other versions previous to this will be out of support from Microsoft in the coming years.

If you already have a version of Microsoft SQL server of 2014 or later, then you are covered.

We advise you that when upgrading to a new version of Microsoft SQL, please consider a minimum of 2019, but it is not mandatory.
